20 Woe to those who call evil good
and good evil,
who put darkness for light
and light for darkness,
who put bitter for sweet
and sweet for bitter!
21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes,
and shrewd in their own sight!
22 Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine,
and valiant men in mixing strong drink,
23 who acquit the guilty for a bribe,
and deprive the innocent of his right!

If the claims are true (which there’s no reason to assume otherwise) then this is most definitely an act of injustice – rewarding the criminal while punishing the innocent.  At the same time, we shouldn’t be surprised these days.

]]> http://ridiculous.davidchristopher.net/2009/01/you-must-suffer/feed/ 0 The Sanctity of Every Life http://ridiculous.davidchristopher.net/2008/10/the-sanctity-of-every-life/ http://ridiculous.davidchristopher.net/2008/10/the-sanctity-of-every-life/#comments Wed, 22 Oct 2008 19:45:25 +0000 Chris http://ridiculous.davidchristopher.net/?p=176 The article Christians as Sacrificial Lambs was posted yesterday at the Persecution blog.  I highly recommend it as Stacy did a great job at outlining the importance of every life.  So often we just glaze over at the news, breathe a quick prayer and move on.  Might I recommend a journal – when you come across these news items, jot down their name and a quick note as to what happened.  Grab the journal in your prayer time and go over their names, pray for those impacted, for their salvation, witness, that those being persecuted be given strength to continue. 

Sometimes it seems as though there is nothing we can do about it, but we should never forget, we have a direct line to the throne room of God through prayer.  We should utilize that line constantly and never forget to make use of it – never ceasing.

]]> http://ridiculous.davidchristopher.net/2008/10/the-sanctity-of-every-life/feed/ 0 A Glimpse of the House Churches in China http://ridiculous.davidchristopher.net/2008/09/a-glimpse-of-the-house-churches-in-china/ http://ridiculous.davidchristopher.net/2008/09/a-glimpse-of-the-house-churches-in-china/#comments Sat, 06 Sep 2008 03:19:43 +0000 Chris http://ridiculous.davidchristopher.net/?p=88 What a priviledge we have in the US to be free to worship Christ.  This video was posted on the Persecution Blog and offers a rarely seen glimpse of what’s going on in China.  The word we get about China is amazing – persecution is strong, but so is the unregulated church of Christ.  The growing hostility towards Christianity in the US tells us we may not be so far off.  It’s becoming more and more unacceptable to preach Biblical Christianity and even as free as we are to do so, so many churches these days bow out in order to tickle the ears of the masses.  Goals of filled seats are greater than those truly giving their lives over to the Savior.  The truth is in the auditoriums every Sunday.  While Granger is the topic today, it’s only one of a slew of churches with these results.

Watch this video and pray for these believers along with all of our other brothers and sisters in the persecuted church spread abroad and risking their lives.
