Ridiculously Foolish (taken from the idea Paul put forth in 1 Corinthians 1:23) is a blog that was put together to peruse the state of society as it falls further and further into the hands of an athiest/agnostic/postmodern populace.  I stream the terms together because, while I believe the vast majority in the US are athiest but don’t realize it, they still hold onto newage postmodern views.  We live in an age where there are no absolutes and therefore the ecumenical faith is whatever you want it to be.

Most people today believe we’re better off as a society than we were 50 or 100 years ago.  While certainly our way of life in the developed world is more advanced than it was even a couple decades ago, having to worry about kids killing classmates in suburban schools was unheard of until the late 90s.  Over the last 4 decades we’ve seen the rates of violent crime, illegitimate births, divorce, teenage suicide, teenage pregnancies and abortion (just to name a few) skyrocket much faster than the growth in population.  At the same time SAT scores have plummeted over 75% since the mid-sixties.  An interesting study was done regarding the removal of prayer and the Bible in our public schools in 1963 and the rise of items like these.  The statistics are mind-boggling.  Society has been forced to accept the all-inclusive at the expense of the common good.  A nation that was founded on uniquely Judeo-Christian values has been hijacked by an elite with the sheer purpose of deliberately dumbing down society and an ultimate goal of world governance.

But as Christians we are to be of good cheer.  These results shouldn’t startle us.  All of this has been prophesied beforehand as things that most assuredly will and must come to pass.  Certainly 2 Peter 3:1-13 deals with this pretty well.  Jude 17-23 doesn’t hide this fact, and Paul does a great job of informing Timothy of these things in 2 Timothy 3:1-9.  The point is that all of this has been laid out in advance and my only hope is that those who already know this truth stumble upon this site and can use it for edification and even moreso, that those who do not know this truth can stumble upon this site and have the Spirit open their eyes to see and their ears to hear (Jeremiah 5:21).
