Dr. David Jeremiah, in his book “What In the World Is Going On?” comments on how unlikely the idea of a one world ruler was just some time ago yet today seems inescapable. In light of the recent election, I found this paragraph fascinating.
It’s no wonder that people will follow this man and even fall down and worship him. We see in our own political compaigns how quickly people gravitate to charisma and power. Give us a fine-looking candidate with a golden voice, a powerful presence, and the ability to enthrall people with vague rhetoric about an undefined better future, and we follow like sheep as the media bleats the candidate’s praises. Completely overlooked is the substance of the man’s program. The presence and charisma of the [a]ntichrist will be similar, making his rise to power inevitable.
